The 34th annual National Pony Show was held in mid-August in Vermo racetrack.
We
showed Rockfield Wizard, he was champion gelding and got I prize
from judge
Jackie Webb.
Best of Breed was Wizard's niece 3 yo. Doyher Ruby Rose (d. Omey Ruby, breeder: Nina
Tiainen,
owner: Hanna Asklöf). Reserve to Ruby Rose was her sire and Wizard's halfbrother

Å'Delilah was shown at young pony assesment in Kouvola and gained II prize
with very
nice comments.
She behaved perfectly and we were very proud of her.
Å'Delilah's sire Dale Mountain Mist's (Dale Haze - Brolötens Irish Made) offspring has done
very well in this season's young pony assesments. Hopefully this good stallion, who
himself has competed succesfully at highest national level in dressage, will be approved
again
in next spring's stallion inspection. He surely deserves it!

Joyride didn't foal this year after all. Perhaps her breeding days are over,
she has started to work again and the first goal is to loose some extra weight..
Her companion during this summer is Joyride's niece Hagelunds Å'Delilah (Dale
Mountain Mist 17 C - Hagelunds Indiana 145 C) charming 2 yo. filly.

The boys are relaxing out on the field and hacking out, lazy summerdays.
Samwise has now been sold.

interesting foals
offered for sale.

Our competition season started over Easter with Samwise in a club competition.
First it was time for some dressage on Good Friday. The program was easy and pony worked
like a dream.
The rider, who hasn't competed at all in the last 20 years, couldn't breathe at all,
but the pony
did his stuff. Result was quite satisfactory, 58 % and 6th out of 15 competitors.

On Saturday it was all showjumping. The rider has changed, Saara who rode Wizard last
summer has taken the reins in jumping courses and has done a very good job, allthough the
cooperation is still
quite fresh. The first class was 60 cm, Samwise and Saara took
the first prize and in the second class (70 cm) one pole came down, when there was too much
speed on
what was maybe the course's easiest obstacle... We were all very pleased for the results.

Joyride is scanned in foal to Coosheen Finnegan.
Samwise and Wizard have relaxed awhile after summer. Now they are both back to work
and training for next season.
Samwise is being offered for sale.
Rosclyde stayed, after his summer job in Viikki island Tampere, at Stall Hagelund teaching
little children riding skills. Although major part of his time is spent
leading
the Free shetlandponies into the forest -act...
